PLM ERP CRM SCM
is plm really a new concept?
is it really very imp for any comp.
pdm is important, but what is this plm? only a word!!!!
i think if a comp has good pdm software integrated with a cad software, it will perform well.
then where we need plm.
ANY BODY EXPLAINN?????/
at which point plm differs from erp or crm or supply chain management?
if a comp has cad-pdm-crm-n-supply chain management
does it still need plm?
Diff betwn PLM & ERP
ERP is more inclined towards Planning and Financials.Where as PLM is more specific towards the Product. And I guess "Product" is the lifeline fr any company.PLM also take cares of Workflow,Concurrent Engineering and many more..

i was discussing plm with my frn from L N T, he said that
in Ln T they dont hv PLM, they hv ERP n Tel net software for work of data management
n they dont need PLM,

well LTM unit at chennai is using PDM software for their design process.
